Rappler CEO Ressa Files Counter-Affidavit For Not Paying P133.8-M Taxes

Rappler Holdings Corporation and Rappler CEO Maria Ressa file a joint counter-affidavit at the DOJ in relation to the P133-million tax evasion complaint filed by the BIR. The tax evasion case stemmed from the BIR's claim that Rappler had profited from the sale of Philippine Depositary Receipts (PDRs) to two foreign entities in 2015, and that it should pay income and value-added tax (VAT) for the transaction.
