Senator Trillanes Hindi Napigilan Ang Kanyang Sarili Habang Ginagawa Ito Kay Vice Ganda

Antonio “Sonny” Fuentes Trillanes IV was born on August 6, 1971. He is a retired Navy officer and a current senator of the Philippines. He ran for presidential election in 2016 for vice president position. He graduated cum laude in the Philippine Military Academy in 1995 with the degree of BS Naval System Engineering. 

Trillanes took up his graduate studies at the University of the Philippines National College of Public Administration and Governance and got his master’s degree in Public Administration, Major in Public Policy and Program Management in 2002. He led the 2003 Oakwood Mutiny with the 300 junior officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines who took over the Oakwood towers in Makati City. This is a sign of protest for the alleged corruption in the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

He was detained and decided to file his candidacy for senatorial elections. He succeeded and was proclaimed as one of the Senators of the Philippines by the Commission on Elections in 2007. Trilanes is known to be the most aggressive opposition member against the current administration of President Duterte. During the campaign, he allegedly paid lots of advertisements against President Rodrigo Duterte as black propaganda in the past presidential election. 

Despite all the controversies in politics, Senator Trillanes had a chance to show up in television shows such as Gandang Gabi Vice, one of the most popular talk show in ABS-CBN, Channel 2. This was aired on March 19, 2014, and became a hot topic in social media.
