ESPENIDO SAYS HE'S NOT SCARED OF DEATH THREATS - NewspaperPH


Chief Inspector Jovie Espenido will receive a special award from the Philippine National Police more than a week after the Ozamiz City police raids that left 16 people dead, including Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog Sr. PNP chief Director General Ronald dela Rosa announced in a press conference in Camp Crame that Espenido is among the police officers who will receive special awards during the Police Service Anniversary. Espenido also stated that he is not afraid to die. He said that he had been assigned to other cities in the past, and Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog Sr. of Ozamiz City was only the second mayor killed during an operation on his watch. Espenido said he still has 10 more years in police service.
