Daniel Padilla at JC De Vera, "NAGKAPIKUNAN" sa Star Magic Basketball

Daniel Padilla becomes intense when JC De Vera unintentionally hit him as he was trying to score for his team at the Star Magic All-Star game happened in Araneta Coliseum yesterday. Here’s the video to see what actually happened.

In this 40-second clip uploaded by Samantha Padilla on Facebook, it can be seen that the basketball game between Daniel Padilla and Gerald Anderson’s teams was very intense as they’re having a close flight.

The moment when Daniel Padilla has the ball, he was immediately guarded by De Vera and by the time he tries to score for his team by shooting the ball through lay-up, De Vera defended the ring and unintentionally fouled him down. Replaying the video, it seemed De Vera wrestled Padilla causing him to lose his balance and fell down.

As a result, Padilla lost his temper just like any player who’s been compromised during the game. There was a bit commotion but everything was controlled immediately.

After the game, De Vera immediately settled the raft between Padilla by apologizing as he was unable to calculate how intense the game against Padilla’s team since it was his first time to play for this year’s Star Magic match.

“Nag-sorry ako. Sabi ko, ‘Sorry bro, tumaas lang emotions ko.’ After the game, nag-sorry ulit ako. Sabi ko pasensya na, hindi ko alam na ganito ka-intense,” De Vera said.

Meanwhile, Padilla admitted that he also made a mistake for losing his temper and that he understood De Vera since everything was just part of the game and nothing personal.

“Ako din nag-sorry ako [kay JC] kasi uminit din ako. Siyempre gusto niyo lahat manalo so hindi mawawala ‘yung competitiveness ng lahat. Pero okay lang kami, no problem,” Padilla told.

The game closed 93-90 in favor of Gerald Anderson’s team.
