Mga armadong kabataan, ginagamit ng Maute-ISIS na frontline sa bakbakan

It is very said to hear that the self-imposed deadline given by the AFP and the DND to end the Marawi City siege failed to materialize because the ISIS-inspired Maute Group are using children and other civilians as shield to prevent soldiers from running

after them until they flee or be killed. Based on what I heard and saw in the TV news, the military is still applying commensurate military power against the threats and pockets of resistance being put up by the Maute Group, including the airstrikes. The

AFP says it has already has full control of 90 percent of all areas of Marawi City and that only 5 to 10 percent remain at the bandits’ hands.

Although it failed to meet its deadline, the AFP and its men should be commended for doing all it can to free Marawi City as soon as possible despite some little stumbling blocks in their effort. AFP spokesman Gen. Restituto Padilla said that the goal

of the military offensives was to clear Marawi from armed elements, rescue trapped residents, recover civilians victims and other potential casualties, and assist LGUs as well as civil society and non-government organizations conducting relief

operations. The leaders and members of the Maute Group should all be blamed for what has happened to Marawi City and its residents, and they all deserve to be annihilated.
